IndigoTinted and Autodesk acquisition

Following the Autodesk acquisition of AVID SOFTIMAGE division, i'd like to confirm whoever is interested in IndigoTinted For XSI, that this integration development will continue despite any acquisition matter.
I believe that , in order to keep XSI as top-notch product in DCC market, needs that all the third-part developers who have been involved in the past years in producing high-valued addon should continue working on this product.

I'll try to do my best in order to continue supporting XSI user base with IndigoTinted under XSI 7.0.

More news to come in the next weeks.

Regards, Riccardo.

SOFTIMAGE launch event in Milan and IndigoTinted

On Sept the 24th, in occasion of the Italian XSI 7 launch event held in Milan at UPGRADE atc, there'll be the opportunity to see IndigoTinted for XSI live in action. A short round-up of today implemented features will be shown.

I'll be present and glad to answer any kind of question on the subject.

On the development point-of-view, MPD, programmable shaders and subds are going to be introduced in order to align the current IT4XSI to the last available feature implemented in Indigo Renderer.

Moreover a geometry caching process is going to be designed in order to minimize wasted time due to scene preparation.

Best regards, Riccardo.

Commercial rumors

After some rumors circulated in the well-known CG forums on IndigoTinted For XSI on pricing and beta phasing, here are some further details.

The product is an integration of the commercial Indigo SDK, hence it won't be free of charge. The final product cost isn't yet defined but won't be higher then other ready-available commercial products. The private beta will run on a selected user base and quite probably will be free of charge for the customers involved.

Best regards, Riccardo.
